KOH-LANTA (INTERPRETER)

BACKGROUND

KOH-LANTA is a company which is dealing with the adventure line productions of the National television in France. This company has some departments such as Production, Construction, Location, Purchasing, Unit and Reality. The Mansuar Island in Raja Ampat is the center for the crews to stay. The company already observed some islands which were used since Octobers 2011 for the shooting games on 17 March 2011 until 26 May 2011.

da Vinci Polytechnic Papua International school in Sorong had a corporation with the KOH-LANTA. Mr. Danny Parengkuan as the director of the school was choosing me to work with that company as an interpreter. He had seen my positive sides of my personality and also the assessment of my competences result at school.

I was spent my study time for a month with the company. Start from 30 May 2011 until 02 April 2011, the construction department was requested me to support them. In the construction there were seven foreigners crew who worked with me, some of them are Australian, France and Malaysian. The other was twelve Jakarta workers and thirteen local workers.

KOH-LANTA made some games for twenty contestants. The contestant will be defeated when they will have the council for every three days after the games played. There were eleven locations for the games such as: Kerupiar Island, Putus Island, Small Yeben, Big Yeben, Augusta Island, Besir Island, Penemu Island, Yenanas Island, Gam Bay Island, Dayan Island and Dua Island. Beside that Mankor kodong Island, Merpati Island and Ura island were the places for the contestant to live.

In the construction department we were responsible to prepare games, set it up and take it off after the contestant finished. Finally I was finished with a good appreciation from the company.

OBJECTIVE

In my jobs I did not just straight to think that I must finish. Moreover I have the addition objectives, such as: 

1.      To fulfil my major competences at school. 

2.      To get valuing work from the company.

3.      To get appreciation from the company to my school.

4.      To practice and enhance my English.

5.      To advance my capability of skills.

6.      To enlarge my experiences, knowledge and information.

7.      To improve my individuality of any kinds of trouble and pressure cases.

8.      To be a leader to organise my personnel.

9.      To experience the situation in real job with the foreign company.

10.  To compare between France and Dutch customs like discipline, and their method of managing jobs.

11.  To be acquainted with the foreigners from the different countries.

12.  To expand the information about Raja Ampat like culture, lifestyle, languages and the history.

13.  To have a corporative manner with the local people when I will guide Tourists.

14.  To visit some Islands in Raja Ampat.

15.  To get salary.
